Manufacturer’s Warranty

All products sold by Northern Marine Outboard Motors via this website or otherwise carry a full manufacturer’s warranty, unless otherwise stated.

These product warranties are provided solely by the manufacturer. Northern Marine Outboard Motors does not independently warrant products sold through the website or otherwise.

Product warranty obligations are limited to those described in the manufacturer’s printed warranty literature and/or the manufacturer’s website. Confirm the warranty applicable to the specific product, including used outboards, before purchasing.

Defective Products & Service Centers

Defective products should be addressed through the applicable manufacturer’s warranty policy.

Outboard engines are repaired through networks of authorized dealers located throughout the United States and Canada. Purchasers should familiarize themselves with the manufacturer’s dealer network and identify their closest authorized service center before purchasing.

Outboard warranties may require the purchaser to transport the outboard to an authorized dealer for inspection or repair under the manufacturer’s warranty terms. Transportation costs are not covered unless otherwise stated.

Operational & Installation Issues

Outboards are assembled by hand, and isolated manufacturing issues may not be identified during factory testing or dealer inspection.

For operational, performance or other issues, customers should consider the applicable manufacturer’s authorized dealer network.

Any operational, performance or installation/rigging issue should be inspected and diagnosed by an appropriate authorized factory service center where required under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.

Other Warranties & Applicable Law

Northern Marine Outboard Motors disclaims all other warranties, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these draft purchase policies excludes non-waivable rights under applicable Ontario or Canadian law. This information is not legal advice.

Cancellation, Returns & Exchanges

Outboards are subject to the applicable cancellation, return and exchange terms disclosed at the time of purchase.

Outboards may be subject to a zero-cancellation and zero-return/exchange policy as disclosed at the time of purchase.
